Because Postpartum Shouldn’t Be a Solo Job

The weeks after birth are beautiful. But they can also be exhausting, overwhelming, and a little foggy. You’re healing, learning your baby, and adjusting to a whole new rhythm of life.

Postpartum doula support gives you a calm, experienced presence by your side to answer questions, ease the mental load, and help you feel confident in your role as a parent.

“I’m writing this as a husband and father, deeply grateful for the care Erica gave to our entire family in those early weeks after our son Birdwell was born. From the first night, she brought a calm, trustworthy presence that allowed my wife to rest and recover and gave me total peace of mind knowing our baby was in expert, loving hands. She was also incredibly professional, warm, and truly invested. She prepared meals, took care of the little things that quickly become big things (laundry, tidying up), and most importantly, made sure my wife felt supported, seen, and heard. Her night care gave us the space to sleep, reset, and continue to work which we both were a few weeks after we welcomed our son home.

Because Sleep is the Most Valuable Gift You Can Get

Imagine waking up after a full night’s rest, your baby cared for, fed, and happy. You feel like you can actually function.

Here’s how overnight care works:

  • I arrive in the evening to get a rundown on your baby’s needs and schedule

  • I handle feedings (or bring baby to you for breast/feeding and return them afterward), diaper changes, soothing, and tracking sleep/feed patterns

  • You sleep. I keep baby safe, comfortable, and content all night

  • In the morning, you wake rested, with a baby who’s been loved and cared for while you recharged

“As a first time mom, I am not sure how I would have gotten through my birth without the assistance of a doula. I hired Erica late in the game at 34 weeks pregnant. After a phone consult, I knew I felt comfortable with her and was impressed by her knowledge and expertise. She was always available through text and phone call for all my questions. She helped me build my birth plan and included back up scenarios. Postpartum, Erica gave me tons of resources and continued checking in on my family. My husband and I both highly recommend her!”

“My birth plan went out the window when I faced some personal difficulties and switched from home birth to hospital birth. Erica stuck with me, and was right there walking the hospital hallways with me to get things moving, giving me and my partner tips and speaking words of encouragement. When I realized I had to push, the nurses told me I needed to wait for the doctor. I told Erica I didn’t want to wait and I was ready. She affirmed that I was in control and I had the right to birth my way. Erica was right there the entire time supporting, encouraging and validating me. I am forever grateful to Erica for being there for my very last birth and having her as a core part of my birth team. It’s been almost 2 years and I recommend Erica to this day. She has a natural gift and I definitely believe she’s in the right field.”
